At Martock we aim to provide our children with a rich and diverse history curriculum, exploring events and figures who have shaped our world. From the rise and fall of ancient civilisations to the struggles and triumphs of more modern times, we want our children to have a deepening understanding of the past and its impact on the present.
Through engaging sessions, discussions and practical activities they can develop an appreciation for the importance of history. To inspire their curiosity and enthusiasm, they will have the opportunity to analyse historical sources and artefacts, make connections between the past and present and empathise with the experiences of others. Whenever possible, their learning will be further enriched with educational visits or visitors.
